Simulation study on optimal load distribution strategy of multiple chillers

Taking the chiller system of a shopping mall in Guangzhou as a research object, based on the annual running data, identifies the parameters by using the least square method, and establishes the operation efficiency models for all chillers. According to the annual cooling load distribution characteristics of air conditioning system, taking the minimum total energy consumption as the goal, obtains the optimal load distribution strategy of multiple chillers based on the genetic algorithm. Applies the optimal method to the two kinds of operating conditions of the chiller system in summer and transition season. The results show that compared with the original control schemes, the optimal control scheme can realize the energy-saving of 25.75% at the load ratio of 50% to 75% in summer and of 5.35% at the load ratio of 25% to 50% in transition season.
